Clinical Director & Teen Specialist
MEET JEN
“I know therapy can feel awkward at first — especially if you are here because a parent or school counselor suggested it. I don't expect you to walk in ready to tell me everything. We start where you are and figure out together what would actually make this useful.”
SESSION EXPERIENCE
My style is straightforward, warm, and collaborative. I don't sit in silence nodding with a clipboard, and I don't talk down to teens. We look at the actual patterns getting in your way — whether that's anxiety, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or constant conflict at home — and find realistic ways to make life feel more manageable.
Teens who feel overwhelmed by academic or sports pressure and secretly fear failing.
Teens who shut down, pull away, or get irritable when parents ask how they are doing.
Teens dealing with panic attacks, chronic worry, or high self-criticism.
Parents looking for clear, thoughtful guidance without feeling judged or excluded.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
I lead with the person in front of me rather than a rigid clinical script. Depending on what your teen needs, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and relational family systems. We focus on practical coping tools, emotional regulation, and communication shifts that make an immediate difference at home and school.
